Good morning! Today is the first official day of trading at Our Handmade Collective, upstairs in the new Handpicked Hall, Grand Arcade, Leeds. Before we open at 11am we just have time to introduce you to another of our 21 makers, Eve Finlayson of Createve.
Eve is from Skipton and believes everybody should live a patterned life and she puts this into practice with her amazing printed fabrics that she makes into cushions and silk scarves.
Eve says “I have had a passion for patterns and a love of the natural world from being really young. Once I had acquired the skills at university to produce patterns, I felt I had to go forward to create unique designs that could be produced and made into quality products that people would enjoy, knowing that they would be different to what the high street has.”
What some people fail to realise is Eve designs and prints her own fabric, before she makes them into desirable gifts. She is a truly talented lady.
